The county encompasses a total area of 228 square miles and is known for its scenic beauty, with several lakes dotting the landscape.

Upon entering your Holiday Suite, there is a strong probability that you will not want to leave straight away. The hotel room radiates an enchanting allure, transporting you into a festive paradise that one could easily confuse for Santa’s personal retreat.
Speaking from experience, the appeal of watching holiday movies snuggled in cozy oversized blankets had us ordering delivery quicker than you could say, Jolly Saint Nick. With one of the best sushi spots in town, Osaka, being so close, an epic sushi feast was delivered to our hotel door.
Osaka Sushi House offers an authentic Japanese dining experience. Located at 30 W Main St, Osaka offers a delectable selection of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies. They have a lovely indoor dining space, or you can opt for carry-out or delivery.
As evening falls, embrace the magic of the holidays at Lake County’s Winter Wine Wonderland. Discover the region’s wineries all dressed up in their holiday best, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Julbean’s Coffee and Crepes is an inviting space, with the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. And oh, the crepes! These delectable treats are true feasts for the tastebuds, with savory and sweet options available.
Walk through the charming downtown area, lined with unique boutiques and specialty shops. Browse through antiques, artwork, clothing, and more, and find some one-of-a-kind treasures to take home.
Spend time at Fairport Beach, relaxing on the sandy shore, having a picnic, or taking a stroll along the scenic shoreline. One of the best sledding hills in winter is next to the Lighthouse Museum!
Standing tall for over a century, the historic Fairport Lighthouse is iconic of Fairport Harbor. Now housing a museum, visitors can discover the area’s rich maritime heritage and learn about the history of the Great Lakes. The museum offers various maritime artifacts and exhibits.
Tip: Check Museum hours to ensure they are open during your visit. If not, it is worth a stop to walk the grounds.
The local favorite pizzeria is known for its mouthwatering toppings, crispy crust, and cozy atmosphere. Weather permitting, I recommend placing a carry-out order and taking your pizza to Headlands Beach State Park or Fairport Beach to enjoy lakeside!
Headlands Beach State Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and beach enthusiasts. Situated along the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, this park offers stunning views, a historic lighthouse, and miles of sandy beaches.
Whether you want to soak up the sun, take a refreshing swim, or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, Headlands Beach State Park has something to offer for everyone. Additionally, the park boasts various recreational activities such as bird watching, picnicking, and fishing, making it an ideal spot for a day of outdoor adventure.
Traveler Tip: This is the park to visit if you want to catch a Lake Erie sunset!
After freshening up at your hotel, head to Laurentia Vineyard and Winery for a fabulous dinner. Graze on a charcuterie board, or choose a seasonal specialty. Pair it with your favorite wine or enjoy a bottle with friends on the patio.
