The playground for little ones has a canopy, astroturf, and a fence. The holy trinity of playground features for any parent. We were in heaven letting Sophie explore this amazing area.  During our recent visit, everything was well maintained and in great condition. The only downside is the swings are not located in this portion of the park. You will have to go to the other play area in the park.

Across the park is a second playground which is a great area for bigger kids who would get easily bored at the second playground. This treetop hideaway themed playset is intriguing and tons of fun. Our two-year-old had a difficult time navigating this play area even with help.  The swings are located which we couldn’t pass up without a meltdown ensuing.  There is little to no shade at this play area so come prepared with plenty of sunscreen.

Other Amenities At Wear Farm City Park

The park boasts other great features such as a picnic shelter, restrooms, basketball courts, and ballfields.  A walking trail snakes its way around the park. The walking trails are not really shaded but do provide a great spot to walk your furry friends and are mostly flat. Perfect for strollers and those looking for a nice leisurely evening stroll.
