What started as a small trip to Holiday World with a few friends has now evolved into an annual tradition consisting of over 30 people. Throughout the years, I have picked up a few helpful tips for group planning. From discounted group tickets to lodging options and group-friendly activities, here’s everything you need to know.

Holiday World is also a fantastic option for multi-generational trips. The park offers a diverse range of attractions that cater to every age group.

Toddlers and young children will love the gentle rides in HoliDog’s Funtown, while teens and adults can take on some of the best wooden coasters, such as The Voyage and The Legend.

Parents can relax in shaded areas or float along the lazy river, while older guests will enjoy the scenic walkways, live shows, and the park’s thoughtful amenities, such as free sunscreen and drinks.

Group Tickets to Holiday World

Holiday World offers discounted group tickets for parties of 15 or more.

The larger the group, the better the discount, making this amusement park an ideal destination for any large gathering. Groups can choose between fixed-date tickets and flexible “any day” tickets, depending on your needs.

For school or youth groups, Holiday World even offers special days with additional savings.

• Look for lower group rates in May, Sept, and Oct or on weekdays. Our group typically goes during the week in June and pays $39.99 per ticket.
• Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance in order to “lock in” Group Discounts.
• Consider adding a pizza party with a private party room at Santa’s Merry Marketplace. This provides an opportunity for the group to rejoin and connect before venturing back into different areas of the park.
• Kids under three receive free admission to the park.

Large Group Discounts

Groups with over 50 people will be eligible for admission discounts and the option to add an All-American Picnic served in one of the private shelters located in the Good Old Days Picnic Grove. Please note that this will require additional planning, as final reservations must be confirmed at least 3 weeks in advance.

When it comes to group lodging, Sun Outdoors Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort is a top choice. Located right next to Holiday World, this resort offers a variety of accommodations, including cabins, cottages, and RV rentals that are perfect for families and large groups.

Amenities such as a pool, splash pad, golf cart rentals, and a complimentary shuttle to the park make Lake Rudolph both convenient and comfortable.

Many groups choose to stay here to minimize transportation issues and maximize time at the park.

Here are a few tips for booking with Lake Rudolph Campground:

• Plan to reserve cabins near each other, as the campground does fill up quickly.
• Golf carts are available for rent by the day or for the duration of your stay.
• There are cabins of different sizes available to accommodate parties of various sizes.
• Our Tradition: Each year, every cabin chooses a different holiday to celebrate and decorates the front of their cabin to match the theme. The festivities continue with a themed potluck, where guests bring a dish inspired by their chosen holiday, creating a fun and festive evening filled with diverse flavors and traditions.

Other nearby lodging options include Santa’s Cottages, Santa’s Lodge, and Lincoln Pines Lakefront Resort —all of which are group-friendly and located within minutes of the park.

Catering Options for Groups

Feeding a large group is easy with Holiday World’s catering options. The park offers group meals that can be reserved in advance and served in designated picnic groves such as the Good Old Days Picnic Grove. These shaded areas are perfect for relaxing, regrouping, and enjoying a meal together. Catering menus include grilled favorites like burgers and hot dogs, and are great for family-style dining.

For more flexibility, groups can also bring their own food and enjoy it in the picnic areas located just outside the park’s gates.

Water Park Cabana Rentals

Splashin’ Safari, Holiday World’s attached water park, is one of the top-rated water parks in the country—and it gets busy on hot summer days. Renting a private cabana is a great way to give your group a home base where you can rest, store belongings, and escape the sun. Cabanas include seating, shade, and amenities like lockers and mini fridges, depending on the package.

Tip: There are different size cabana options available and larger groups may need to reserve more than one cabana to accommodate everyone.

They can be reserved online and are a smart upgrade, especially if your group includes small children, older guests, or anyone who needs regular breaks throughout the day.

Cabanas also offer excellent catering options designed to feed hungry park goers. The biggest perk is that it is delivered directly to your cabana! During our recent visit, we opted for this option, ordering burgers, fries, chicken tenders, and a perfect veggie tray!

Tips for Managing a Group Inside the Park

To make the most of your day, it’s helpful to designate a meeting point inside the park where everyone can gather periodically. Whether you choose a picnic shelter, the entrance area, or a ride entrance, having a central location helps everyone stay connected.

Be sure to distribute park maps and review the daily show schedule in advance so your group can enjoy the performances together. Consider splitting into smaller sub-groups based on age or interest for more flexibility throughout the day.

Creating a group chat with at least one representative from each party was incredibly helpful. It allowed for real-time updates on locations and wait times, and made it easy to address any unexpected issues quickly.
