Make A Reservation

The most important tip for visiting the Cake Bake Shop is to make a reservation and make it in advance. Guests can make reservations on Open Table or by calling the reservation line. Keep in mind that if no reservations are available when you call, keep calling back, as many people cancel. We recently got a reservation days before our impromptu trip to Indy by calling daily.

Walk-ins are welcome, but you will likely have an extensive wait or opt to get carry-out from the bakery.

Planning Tip: The Cake Bake Shop does require you to put a credit card on file when making the reservations. You have up to 24 hours before your reservation to cancel. Otherwise, you get charged $10 per person.

Are you planning A party? The Cake Bake Shop is ideal for birthday parties, bridal showers, family gatherings, or corporate events. Even larger groups can be accommodated by filling out a special request form.

There are Multiple Cake Bake Shop Locations

The first Cake Bake Shop is at Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis, Indiana. The gorgeous restaurant is filled with beautiful decor and delectable display cases full of three-tiered cakes, cheesecakes, pies, and more. The popularity was so immense that Gwendolyn decided to open a second location to accommodate more guests.

The second location opened up in Carmel City Center with a larger kitchen and plenty of team members to help make more magical moments.

Guests worldwide are thrilled about the third Cake Bake Shop location set to open at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn at Walt Disney World Resort in 2023.

When making a reservation, the two Indiana locations are relatively close to each other, only 15 minutes apart. If you can’t get into one, you may be able to get into the other. Staff members can search both locations when you call to make a reservation.

Sample More Than The Cake

While sweet options are often what taste buds are craving, examine the menu to discover a delectable drink menu, savory items such as french onion soup, truffle pomme frites, and various mouth-watering entrees. My daughter adored the edible glitter in their pasta!
