Where Is City Base Cinemas

City Base Cinemas is in Kenwood, near the Kenwood Mall in Cincinnati, Ohio. The theater sits directly above Whole Foods at the Kenwood Collection. The Kenwood Collection is home to other popular retailers such as Crate & Barrel, L.L.Bean, and the Containers Store.

TIP: During the holidays allow an extra 15 minutes to get to the cinemas as traffic near the Kenwood Towncenter tends to be heavier than normal.

TIP: Don’t get City Base Cinemas confused with the Kenwood Theater. These theaters offer two different movie-going experiences. The Kenwood Theater is next to the Deweys off of Kenwood Road.

Where Do I Park At City Base Cinemas

There is a garage that offers plenty of Cinema parking. Follow the signs for the Cinema parking, then take the elevator to the Cinemas.

Parking is also available in the lot in front of the Kenwood Collection. However, be mindful of the signs that say “No Cinema Parking.” These can be found in front of Whole Foods and other businesses. Take the escalator or elevator to the second floor from the parking lot, then hang a left to City Base.

TIP: Signage is not the greatest in the parking garage. Look for P4; the area with the elevator is orange with a sign that says elevator up to retail and Cinema Entrance.

Does anyone else ever get cold at the movies? When I found out City Base has heated seats, I was all in. Each seat reclines and is heated with the option to adjust your heat level. It does take a few minutes to heat up, but it is glorious once it does.

The Movie Selection Is Great

We booked a private theater for the Halloween showing of Hotel Transylvania. It was so awesome to have an entire theater to ourselves, especially when we invited a good number of young children.
