Boomtown Biscuits And Whiskey

There is brunch gold to be found at this prospecting-inspired restaurant located in the Pendleton District. Flights of gravy, pick and shovel biscuit sandwiches, and an expansive whiskey selection makes Boomtown Biscuits the perfect spot to grab a boozy brunch.  The biscuits take center stage as they make up the majority of the menu, including a biscuit beignet for dessert.

Keep in mind that the portions here are more like small plates, and the biscuits tend to be on the smaller side. Speaking of small, space is in tight quarters and it would be challenging to bring small children during peak times. Don’t worry you can always get these biscuits to go!

The Echo Restaurant

A brunch staple in Cincinnati is The Echo Restaurant, located in Hyde Park.  This hole-in-the-wall diner has been a gathering spot for locals to enjoy a solid All-American brunch at affordable prices for decades. With a wide selection of tasty breakfast and lunch options, it is easy to see why there are lines out the door every  Sunday. The wait does go reasonable quickly. However, a visit during the weekday proves to be less crowded.

Our recommendation: Order the Eggs Benedict but ask for it Echo Style. Echo Style replaces the ham with goetta, a Cincinnati staple breakfast meat. Don’t forget an order of Megan’s Cinnamon Pancakes. Heavenly.

The Echo does offer classic brunch cocktails, a kid’s menu, and homemade desserts. They also have carry-out available.
